Saddened to read of Dave's passing. I knew him at Dartmouth where is play, "Bobtail Flush," won the Frost competition one year. A truly, bright, witty and "stand-up" guy. Unfortunately, I failed to remain in touch with Dave after college and feel somewhat the lesser for that missed opportunity. Prayer's to he and his family.

My heart is broken. I worked with Dave at Channel Six and at KYW and he was one of the finest journalists I've ever been so honored to work with. More than that, he was a friend. I remember when I returned to KYW from Miami in 1998?, my husband was still living in Florida and, seemingly out of nowhere, but knowing I was alone for the holiday, Dave and Marjie invited me to spend that Thanksgiving with them and their kids. And I did. I was so touched anybody could be that nice and it was such a beautiful gesture and one of the best and fondest memories of a Thanksgiving dinner spent with a true family that I've ever had. I was not at all surprised when Dave moved on from journalism to become a lawyer. Anyone who ever worked with him will tell you how smart he was. And honest. And ethical. He had all the right qualities, and more, needed in the legal profession. And that sense of humor. I remember at Channel 6 he and I and Gary Papa and Jim Gardner and others would sometimes help each other try to decipher political cartoons we couldn't quite get. (Kind of like that Seinfeld episode). One I remember in particular was a Florida tan - a dark man in the shower but for a lighter, odd shape near his hip. Dave figured it out. I will leave it, here, to the reader, as that's not my point. Think of every exceptional quality necessary to be a stand-out journalist, lawyer, husband, father and human being and that IS Dave Frankel. His bond and unending love for Marjie and his children was evident in everything he did and the way he lived his life. My heart goes out to everyone whose lives he touched and everyone who mourns his loss. Rest in peace, my friend.

So sorry to hear of Dave´s passing. He and I first met at Dartmouth College, and along with our mutual friend Marc Gautier, shared some wonderful times together. I was fortunate to stay in touch with Dave off and on throughout the years, and I will miss him. He was a wonderful person. Rest in peace buddy.

Dear Frankel Family,
I am so sorry of the passing of Dave.
I remember watching Dave on the News and always thought he was
great at the way he connected with people even thru the TV.
I am sure Dave is in Heaven and now all of his family and friends
have a Angel looking over and protecting them.
Again, I am so sorry.
I am Old watcher of Dave on the News
